At KLIMATES we want to bind CO₂ effectively and quickly. The binding takes place primarily from the planting of additional areas with industrial hemp, which then binds CO₂ and does not release the CO₂ again in its further use. This means that we are investing money directly in nature!

Industrial hemp has the massive advantage that it can be grown several times a year, grows in fields that can otherwise no longer be used and requires little water for its cultivation. Industrial hemp is a true CO₂ master offsetter and the original Green Deal! That is why KLIMATES mainly relies on the cultivation of industrial hemp and uses it to build up a pool for CO₂ offsetting. The cultivation is then strategically supplemented with the reforestation of forest areas, which also offset significant amounts of CO₂, so that the total pool is always large enough to allocate its offset share to each KLIMATES member.

At the beginning of our hero’s journey, we will participate in the required cultivation projects or invest there so the attribution to KLIMATES takes place or we also acquire recognized CO₂ certificates. When it comes to projects, we will make sure that they are strong and sustainable and ensure that every CO₂ offsetting investment is used in a targeted manner. The projects are located worldwide, and it is our goal to support and promote projects in every country where KLIMATES members are located. We hope to have a showcase in each of these countries that we can use as a meeting place for our movement. We want to make our joint success tangible and visible!

As we grow from a startup to a serious movement, we also want to implement our own projects directly with farmers and directly influence our impact. Our projects should then also be made accessible to our KLIMATES members, and we aim to find a good solution here to immortalize every member.
