Our core team in summer 2022 / Brunnen, Switzerland. The idea of the KLIMATES movement arose from our joint company HEMPMATE (www.hempmate.com). We have had already set ourselves the goal here of using the diversity and potential of hemp and thus changing society. With KLIMATES and DESERTGREENER, we are consistently pursuing this vision and combining the topics of industrial hemp, water generation and desert greening in order to ensure a greener planet and thus create new life. The potential of this project is huge and will also help to protect our planet.
Our multidisciplinary management team is responsible for the implementation of this vision: Founder and CEO Alex Braun, who is an entrepreneur and sales expert, is supported by network expert Thomas Pfeifer and brand and product development specialist Johannes Janßen.
In order to make KLIMATES a particularly successful movement, a large number of employees, freelancers and consultants support us every day, who together make our project fly.

Alex began his professional career as an IT specialist in one of the largest direct sales and administration companies in Germany. He gained comprehensive know-how there, which, in combination with his IT expertise, formed the basis for his management consultancy founded in Switzerland in 2008. Based on these successes, he has founded and shaped many companies since then. As an entrepreneur, he laid the foundation for HempMate AG in 2017, which already focused on the use of hemp. Alex takes care of the overall strategy, runs the business and keeps a close eye on the finances.

Through KLIMATES, we are logically and consistently continuing our philosophy of developing and using the full potential of hemp. We are not just talking about environmental protection; it is our business model. We are all about one winner, and that is our planet.

Johannes began his professional career in a strategy department at the Handelsblatt publishing group. After his Business Master at the elite university ESCP Europe Paris, he managed the global sales of a startup in Berlin, which offers curated city guides in print and digital. As one of the creators behind HEMPMATE, he is primarily devoted to product development, appearance, writing and marketing. This includes everything from brand management to product development and design. He is also responsible for many other tasks such as purchasing and logistics. He also fulfills these tasks at KLIMATES.

Referral marketing offers freedom and a self-determined life. Location-independent work with free time management sounds like a dream for many. It was exactly this dream that Thomas implemented for himself 12 years ago. In 2011 he ended his 10-year IT career at Siemens in order to become successful in sales. In recent years, he has reached the top management positions in two different network companies and has always generated sales in the millions with his team. Thomas is responsible for sales at both HEMPMATE and KLIMATES and, as No. 1 in the sales system, drives the company’s expansion.
In my opinion, the hemp plant is the most fascinating and versatile crop on earth. I am sure that this plant will become one of the most important and sustainable raw materials of the 21st century . With KLIMATES we are able to spread this plant around the world much faster than before.
